Mone's Story:

Mone was from owner surrender. The landlord refused to let Mone’s owner to keep dogs in the house. The owner was not able to move because of the cheap rent. He had no choice but to surrender Mone to the rescue. Although Mone is a senior dog. She is well taken care of before she came to the rescue. Mone is still overweight now. We are hoping that she can lose 10-15 lbs in the following months.

Mone is very sweet and affectionate. She loves her human companions and enjoys staying with them. She also gets along with dogs well and play with them sometimes. Mone has a very good temperament. She is also very food motivated. That’s why it’s not easy to keep her fit. We hope Mone’s new owner can keep working on losing her weight because it’s good for Mone’s health and hips. Mone is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines and chipped.

Now getting ready for a big Turkey fest with her new loving family

Doreen's Story:

Doreen was found wandering on the streets. Someone rescued her and then called us for help. Doreen was not feeling well when we picked her up. She had skin issues and bloody urination. Her nails were long, curved and embedded into her skin. We can easily tell that Doreen has been neglected by her owner for a long time. After taking her to the vet, her bloody urination has been treated by medication. However, Doreen lost her appetite the other day. We rushed her to the vet and found she had Pyometra. She had a surgery right away. After staying in hospital for days, she felt better and came back to the rescue. Now Doreen has gained weight and is a healthy and happy girl. We are very happy that Doreen can finally start her journey to a new home.

Doreen is very sweet and affectionate. She loves to stay with her human companions and enjoys playing with them. She also gets along with dogs, but she doesn’t play with them often. We guess Doreen may live in the kennel for all her life. She doesn’t have any chance to meet other dogs before rescued. That’s why she has no idea how to start the play. Doreen is a smart girl. She learns some basic commands quickly. She may be protective of food, but we think she just needs some time to learn to share. Doreen is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines and chipped.

She has a very good appetite and is a very healthy and happy girl now.

Venus is a sweet and affectionate girl. She loves her human companions and enjoys staying with them all day. Venus also gets along with dogs well and she loves to play with her doggy friends. The neighbors were very worried that Q-Mei got hit by cars when she was hanging around in the neighborhood. Therefore, they tried to persuade the owner to surrender Q-Mei to the rescue. The owner had no time to take care of Q-Mei and agreed without hesitation. After taking Q-Mei to the vet, her blood test result showed that she was Haemobartonella canis positive. She has had a 6-week treatment and now is a healthy and happy girl

Q-Mei loves to stay with people. She is very sweet and affectionate. She likes to get attention from her human companions and enjoys being petted. Q-Mei also gets along with dogs well. However, she doesn’t play with them often. She may be nervous when meeting new dogs. As long as she gets used of the surroundings, she will be fine. Q-Mei is a good girl. She prefers staying with people. Since Q-Mei never has a chance staying inside the house. We really wish that she can find her beloved families to call her own. Foster mom's comments: Q mei, 9+ years old and a sweet old lady. Good with other dogs, cats and staying home alone. Dances like a little puppy when it comes time to getting a treat. Loves to sleep on your feet keeping them warm and toasty. Her tail is wagging all the time and she is housebroken. Looking for a retired mom or dad to fall in love with. Please look deep into your heart to add this little sweetheart do your pack.
