Age: 7-8 years

Gender: Male

Dogs? OK

Cats?Definitely chases them!

Now looking to enjoy his first Super Bowl with his loving family.

Monroe's Story:

Monroe was rescued from a local shelter in Taiwan. There was a tumor on his left ear flap and it had exploded and was stinky when we picked him up. After taking Monroe to the vet, he had a surgery to remove the tumor. Since it may be a malignant tumor, the vet decided to remove Monroe’s left ear flap as well. According to the biopsy, it’s Myxosarcoma, grade I. He can hear just fine!

Monroe was also heartworm positive and was severely underweight. He gained weight after his surgery and started his heartworm treatment after he gained enough weight. Even though Monroe has cancer history, he is still a healthy by now. All he needs is some follow-up checkups regularly.

Monroe was in pretty bad condition when we pulled him out from the shelter. Even though we were not sure if he could make it, we still didn’t want to give him up. Monroe is a trooper and he survived the cancer. We are hoping he can find his forever home and enjoy being loved.

Monroe is a happy and playful boy. He loves his human companions and is very obedient. He enjoys being petted and belly rubs. Monroe also gets along with dogs well. He like to play with them, but sometimes he may play too rough. You just need to stop him when he does it. He will be good right away. Monroe is neutered, healthy, up to date on vaccines and chipped.

Age:9 years

Gender: Male

Dogs: Good

Cats: Good

Now taking a hard look at the NFL and getting ready for Super Bowl with his loving family.

My name is Butch, I am about 9 years. I like to lay on your feet to warm you up and bathe your face with gentle kisses. I love to be brushed. My mom who has been loving and caring for me for my entire life is now terminally ill with the “C” word. Her biggest worry is me. When my mom’s hospice worker called TLR looking for a safe place for me to go, TLR stepped up to the plate. TLR volunteers assured my mom they would find me a loving home to take the worry away from her.

My mom told the TLR volunteers I was her biggest concern and with me now going into rescue, she could concentrate on herself. I am good with other dogs, cats and children. I am neutered and up to date on all of my vaccines. TLR did a complete medical work-up on me when I came to them. I take daily thyroid pills and I"m in the process of learning how to walk well on a leash. I have three fatty tumors (lipomas) but the doc says there is nothing to worry about. Whoever finds a soft spot in their heart to give me a forever home, I will be just as faithful to you as I was to my mom as I sat by her hospital bed day in and day out. I am currently being fostered in Fremont, CA

Age:5-6 years

Gender: Female

Dogs: Very well

Cats: unknown

Now watching the rain from her cosy and loving home

Peach was from another rescue team. The team takes care of Peach for about 2 to 3 years. However, they are not able to find a home for Peach. Therefore, Peach came to our rescue. Peach’s right back leg was amputated due to an animal trap. Even though she only has three legs, it doesn’t bother her at all. Peach’s ears look like a Labrador, so we guess she is probably a golden mix.

Peach is sweet, adorable and always full of energy. She likes to be with people and is fine with dogs. However, she doesn’t play with them often. Peach is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines and chipped.

Learning to stuff at least two tennis balls into her mouth and impressing her new loving family!

Janice's Story:

Janice was found abandoned on the streets. Her coat was dirty and matted. It was covered by fleas and ticks. She also had ear infection when she was rescued. Luckily, she didn’t look skinny. We guess she was probably abandoned not long ago.

Janice is a sweet and affectionate girl. She may be a little timid when she is not familiar with the surroundings. However, she will start showing her personality when she feels comfortable. Janice gets along with dogs well. However, she needs to take some time to know the dogs before she can play with them. Janice is a playful girl. She is a perfect dog for homes with kids and seniors. We really wish that Janice can find a home where she can get the attention she deserves. Janice is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines and chipped.
