Lucas is from owner surrender. Before coming to our rescue, Lucas was left in the crate and wore a muzzle all day when his owner was not home. We notice that Lucas has separation anxiety when he’s alone. That’s probably the reason his owner let Lucas wear a muzzle all the time. We can’t imagine the life Lucas has been through. This poor dog didn’t get the attention he deserves. He was treated unfairly by his owner.
We are glad that Lucas came to our rescue to look for a forever home. He may be timid at first when meeting strangers, but he will start showing his personality when he feels safe and relaxed. We guess he might be abused before because he shows fear when you want to pet him. We are looking for a home where Lucas can build trust and confidence. It may take him some time to warm up, but he really wants to be loved. Lucas needs an owner who has patience to bring Lucas out of his shell.
Lucas gets along with dogs well. He loves to play with all kinds of dogs. He is always gentle and he never fights with dogs. Lucas is neutered, healthy and up to date on vaccines. He is also chipped. For more pictures of Lucas, please click the link of his album above. Thank you.
