Tony is from an owner surrender because his owner said he no longer has time for dogs. Tony was very skinny when he came to our rescue. According to the vet, he had anemia. The good news is there’s no blood parasite. Tony just needs to put on some weight. (He's currently 68 lbs.)
Tony has a great temperament. He is very friendly to people and he also gets along with dogs well. Tony is a happy and playful boy. He has plenty of energy since he is a young boy. Tony pulls the leash hard. We guess that he was not trained before, so he doesn’t know how to walk with a leash properly. We believe he will learn that quickly as long as he takes some training.
We are looking for an experienced owner who knows how to train a young dog, as he needs some work on chewing, housebreaking, and leash walking. He does have some food aggression around other dogs, so he needs to be monitored at dinnertime.
We hope he can find a home where this sweet boy can be loved and trained so he can achieve his potential. Tony is neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines.
