Lisa's owner got cancer and couldn’t take care of Lisa anymore. Therefore, Lisa came to our rescue to look for a new home. Lisa was heartworm positive when she came in. She has been successfully treated and is healthy now.
Lisa is a happy, sweet and affectionate girl, age 3 1/2. She may be nervous when she is in new surroundings. She stayed in a training facility when her owner was in the hospital for cancer treatment. She may have been mistreated there because we noticed that she is very alert if people raise hands or make a sudden movement. Lisa may take some time to get used to the new place and people around her. As long as she feels safe and relaxed, she will start showing her personality.
Lisa knows some basic commands, but needs some work on housebreaking. She shows no bad chewing, barking, or aggression habits, and gets along with dogs very well. She may not play with them a lot, but she never fights or causes any trouble. She walks well on leash. We would love to find a sweet home where Lisa can get the attention she deserves. Lisa is spayed, chipped and up to date on vaccines.
