True Love Rescue | Rescued Love From Taiwan - A Golden Retriever Rescue

I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Dylan

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

62-lb Dylan is from a puppy mill. He was abandoned at a veterinary clinic with cleft palates. Fortunately, a lady happened to be on-site. She took Dylan in and arranged for his first corrective surgery. However, the operation was unsuccessful. The lady realized she could not afford another medical bill. She decided to contact us and request our assistance.

Dylan was taken to the hospital for examination. After undergoing three separate surgeries, the cleft in his palate was successfully repaired. However, a small opening remains at the very front of his palate. Due to the tightness of the surrounding tissue, there is insufficient slack to close it, and it cannot be repaired using flap surgery. Even if another operation were performed, the small opening at the front would simply reopen.  Fortunately, the opening is small and located at the front of the palate, so it does not interfere with his ability to eat or drink. We have monitored him for nearly five months, and Dylan eats normally without any choking incidents. With proper attention to keep the opening clean—specifically by gently brushing it with gauze during daily care—Dylan can live just like other dogs.

Dylan is a young and playful boy. We hope Dylan can find his family who are willing to open their hearts and home to him. Dylan has a gentle temperament. He loves to play and gets along with dogs very well. Dylan is neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines. He will be fostered in Lodi for a few weeks to make sure he is doing well.
