Kerwin was rescued from a puppy mill, where he was a sire dog. His owner decided to retire Kerwin from breeding and sell him to a pet shop. We stepped in and negotiated with the owner so we could find help Kerwin his forever home.
At almost 8 years old, 62-lb Kerwin is still a healthy boy. He does have a hematoma that was left untreated by his former owner so it has become firm and his ears feel hard.
Kerwin knows some basic commands and is OK on leash. He is not a barker, and shows no food or toy aggression. He is a sweet and affectionate boy with a great temperament. He likes people and gets along very well with other dogs. We hope he can find a home where he can retire, be a dog, and bask in the attention he deserves.
