Six year-old, 55-lb Lucas is an owner surrender who needs an experienced owner. His former owner had no time for dogs due to work. He decided to surrender Lucas, so he can find a new home.
Lucas is a sweet and affectionate boy. He prefers staying with people instead of dogs. We guess he probably has very little socialization before. Lucas is good with dogs most of the time. However, he may be annoyed and irritated by dogs sometimes when they keep bothering him and start a fight.
Lucas gets along with children, but we do not know how he is with cats. He gets along with other dogs OK, but does have food aggression. He walks OK on leash, and knows some basic commands, but will need some training for housebreaking. He has no toy or food aggression. He also has some bad chewing habits.
We think Lucas needs some professional training to learn basic obedience commands to stay calm and behave well. We hope he can find an experienced owner who has time to work with Lucas. He is neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines.
