68-lb Matt is from owner surrender. His owner had a stroke and is unable to take care of him. Matt is a sweet and affectionate boy. He likes to be with people most of the time. He listens to commands and is obedient. Even though he is 7 years old now, he is still very playful.
Matt gets along with dogs well, but he only plays with dogs he’s familiar with. Normally he doesn’t pick fights, but he did fight once because of food. It happened when he first arrived at our rescue, and he has learned not to do it again. We suggest his owner feed him separately if there are other dogs in the house. Matt can be trained and will learn to share; he just needs some time. We are looking for an experienced owner to work with him. Matt is neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines.
