A donor may wish to make a gift in memoriam of a family member, valued friend, or pet.
This method conserves the donor’s cash while helping to avoid capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated securities. The market value of the securities is deductible in the current year’s tax return. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer required, transferring the policy to True Love Rescue may provide benefits to both True Love Rescue and the donor. The donor may list True Love Rescue as a beneficiary in their will. The distribution of the estate is then made at the donor’s death.

True Love Rescue is a community of supporters and volunteers passionate about making a difference to the lives of dogs in need and keeping them out of harm’s way. The dogs come to us for various reasons from strays and shelters, to changes in their owner’s life that may include the death of the owner.
